History of our association

The initiator of the training of constellation teachers was psychologist Olga Knjazeva. Olga was the organizer of the Estonian direction of the training of family constellations held in Riga from 2006 to 2009 at the Jauno Psihologiju Centrs, from which later Estonian constellation teachers as well as trainers of the next generation of Estonian constellation teachers grew up, and later also the founders of the professional association of constellation teachers.

In 2010, the first Estonian book on family constellations, “The Healing Power of Reality” by Wilfried Nelles, was translated, which used the word “constellator”. The consultant for the book was Tiiu Vilu, a family constellation expert living in Norway, who had already introduced family constellations in workshops opened in Estonia in 2008.

The first long, eight-module training course for family counselors took place in 2011-2013. The trainers were Olga Knyazeva and Olga Potymkina, who collaborated with the Institute of Consulting and Systemic Solutions and its director Mikhail Burnyashev.

In 2013, Tiiu Bolzmann's second Estonian-language book on family constellations, "The Hidden Laws of the Family. A Handbook of Relationships from Birth to Death," was published, with the consultant being the renowned family therapist and family therapist trainer Kiira Järv. This book laid the foundation for understanding constellations and also guided Estonian-language readers to think about the connections between their family and destiny. Tiiu has been conducting family constellation workshops for family therapists in Estonia since 2012.

The idea of creating an Estonian Association of Constellators came to Ülle Pikma, Maret Vohla, Maire Taska and Asko Tal, who had already graduated from the first Constellator Course held in Estonia. However, the time was not yet ripe, there were few active Constellators in Estonia at that time, the goal was not achieved and was postponed to the future.

The association was founded again on 27.12.2017 at the initiative of Kalmer Kase. By that time, there were significantly more constellation specialists who had completed constellation training and were working, the topic was also a little more familiar to the Estonian public, and a consistent system of constellation specialist training had been created. The meeting of the founders of the Estonian Professional Constellation Association was attended by: Bärbel Luhari-Err, Danel Raudsepp, Helena Taska, Kalmer Kase, Kristel Rannamees, Maire Taska, Olga Knjazeva and Olga Potjomkina. Ene Ahas contributed to the development of the initial version of the statutes.

As of today, we have over 100 members in the association.
